Dubbed local showbiz's "Teen Queen" for her consecutive successes on TV and the big screen, Kathryn Bernardo is looking to expand her career with the upcoming release of her debut album.
Bernardo talked about her foray into music on the sidelines of a press conference launching her as the first celebrity endorser of Nails by Chic Centre on Tuesday. According to Bernardo, she finished recording the album with six songs and a number of bonus tracks last Friday. She is set to shoot the album cover this week. "Tutok talaga ako dito," Bernardo said. "Binigay ko ang 101% ko dito sa album na 'to, so sana abangan niyo at magustuhan niyo." She cited as inspirations American pop stars Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. Locally, Bernardo said she considers Sarah Geronimo and Yeng Constantino as her music idols.
