Fans of Kathryn Bernardo can expect her revival of the Sharon Cuneta hit "Mr. DJ" in the upcoming debut album of the 18-year-old superstar.
A video of Bernardo's recording session for the Rey Valera-penned song was uploaded by producer Star Records on YouTube last week, and has since gone viral with more than 64,000 views, as of writing.
Fans were quick to tag Bernardo's onscreen partner, 19-year-old Daniel Padilla, as the subject of the actress' rendition. Bernardo calls Padilla by his nickname, DJ.
In an interview on Tuesday, Bernardo admitted that she recorded the song for her love team.
"Isa na siguro 'yon at madami din akong ni-revive dito na songs pero alam naman nating super hit ang 'Mr. DJ' dati at sana ay magustuhan nila ngayon," she said.
The young actress, who will be shooting the album cover this week, said she is now enjoying her experience as a recording artist.
"Masaya ako na nage-explore ako ng ibang craft. Gusto ko ding maging open sa iba para 'di lang arte-arte. Nag-aaral din ako mag-dance para flexible," she said.

Earlier this month, a similar video featuring Bernardo's other song "You Don't Know Me," written by Marion Aunor, also made the rounds online. To date, it nearly has 600,000 views.
